Now living on the Big Island, he has haumana (students) from Kona to Hilo as well as a large student base in Japan. In "Mai Na Kupuna Mai", he presents a primer of mele hula kahiko (songs of ancient hula) that showcase his powerful chant style accompanied by pahu drum and ipu heke. Students of hula and those who love the sound and emotion of Hawai'i's ancient chant and hula tradition will eagerly embrace this CD.
